Post Malone follows closely with eight nominations, including a nod for his country hit “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen, bringing his total nominations to nine.
The artist of the year category includes nominees Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Eminem, Sabrina Carpenter, and SZA. Swift, with a record of 23 VMAs, is inching close to Beyoncé’s 28 awards, Madonna’s 20, and Lady Gaga’s 19. The 2024 MTV VMAs will be broadcast live on Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, and Eminem each received six nominations. Megan Thee Stallion and SZA garnered five nominations each. First-time nominees for 2024 include Wallen, Carpenter, Swims, Benson Boone, and Tyla, with three nominations each. The upcoming VMAs will take place at the UBS Arena on New York’s Long Island. Fans can start voting online across 15 gender-neutral categories until August 30. Voting for the best new artist category will remain open during the show.
