Stephen Curry signs a $63 million extension with the Warriors for the 2026-27 season

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have reached an agreement to extend his contract through the 2026-27 season. In this upcoming season, Curry, the NBA’s all-time 3-point leader and Olympic gold medalist, is set to earn nearly $63 million. His agent, Jeff Austin from Octagon, confirmed the deal with the Warriors, as reported by ESPN.

As part of this extension, Curry is now guaranteed around $178 million over the next three seasons. This includes approximately $55.8 million for the current season, about $59.6 million for the 2025-26 season, and approximately $62.6 million for the 2026-27 season, which is the maximum amount allowed by league rules.

Upon the conclusion of the 2026-27 season, Curry’s on-court earnings will have totaled roughly $532 million, making him the second-highest earner in NBA history behind LeBron James, who has earned $580 million in player contracts.

At 36 years old, Curry is entering his 16th season in the NBA, all with the Golden State Warriors. A 10-time All-Star, 10-time All-NBA selection, four-time NBA champion, and two-time MVP, Curry solidified his legacy in the league. He also contributed to the U.S. Olympic team’s gold medal win in the Paris Games this summer, with a remarkable performance in the final against France.

During the last season, Curry averaged 26.4 points per game for the Warriors and has a regular-season career average of 24.8 points.
