Steph Curry Turns Up the Heat as Warriors Take Series Lead!

Playoff Steph is officially here — and he’s unstoppable!

The Golden State Warriors took full control of their first-round series Saturday night, beating the Houston Rockets 104-93 behind a red-hot Stephen Curry performance.
The Warriors now lead the series 2-1 — and the Chase Center is rocking!

Curry Puts On a Show!

It took a little while for Steph Curry to warm up, but once he did, there was no stopping him.

  • 36 points
  • 9 assists
  • 7 rebounds

Curry torched the Rockets defense, finding his rhythm in the second quarter and never looking back.
He also made NBA history — passing Tony Parker to move into 10th place for most playoff points ever with 4,053 career playoff points!

“It’s about finding my rhythm and letting it fly,” Curry said after the game.
“Once I hit a few, it’s game over.”

No Jimmy Butler, No Problem for Warriors

The Rockets were without their star Jimmy Butler, who sat out in style wearing a full-length fur coat while cheering his team from the bench.
But the Warriors didn’t miss the chance to pounce.

Without Butler, Houston just couldn’t keep up — even though Fred VanVleet tried his best, hitting back-to-back three-pointers early and finishing with 17 points.

“We had to take advantage,” said Warriors coach Steve Kerr.
“You don’t get opportunities like this in the playoffs often.”

Buddy Hield and Gary Payton II Step Up

It wasn’t just Curry lighting it up:

  • Buddy Hield hit five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points off the bench.
  • Gary Payton II scored 11 of his 16 points in the crucial fourth quarter to seal the deal.

The Warriors finally broke their cold streak from deep, catching fire when it mattered most!

Wild Moments: Rockets Collapse and Fans Go Wild

The drama wasn’t just on the scoreboard:

  • Dillon Brooks, Houston’s troublemaker, fouled out late — to the delight of the Warriors fans.
  • Brooks picked up two quick fouls early, setting the tone for a long night.
  • Houston’s big man Alperen Sengun had a brutal miss at the rim, drawing loud laughs from the crowd.

The Rockets heard it from the Chase Center faithful all night long — and it clearly rattled them.

Game Recap: How the Warriors Took Over

  • First Quarter: Warriors ice-cold from three (2 for 13), Rockets lead by 13 early.
  • Second Quarter: Curry wakes up, Warriors storm back to trail by only three at halftime.
  • Third Quarter: Warriors lock in on defense, take control.
  • Fourth Quarter: Gary Payton II and Curry close the door, Rockets fade.

Golden State’s playoff experience shined through when the pressure was highest!

Playoff Steph Strikes Again!

There’s a reason they call him Playoff Steph — when it matters most, he delivers.

Curry shook off a slow start, reminded everyone why he’s one of the greatest postseason players ever, and put the Rockets on notice that this series won’t be easy.

“Steph lives for these moments,” said Draymond Green.
“When he starts hitting shots like that, it’s over.”

What’s Next: Game 4 Is Critical!

  • Game 4: Monday night at Chase Center.
  • Warriors could take a commanding 3-1 series lead with another win.
  • Rockets have to hope Jimmy Butler can return — or their season may end quickly.

“We know Game 4 is the biggest one,” said Curry.
“We want to protect our house and keep this run going.”

Warriors Smell Blood!

The Golden State Warriors are heating up at just the right time.
With Curry on fire, Hield draining threes, and Payton locking down defensively, the Rockets are now in big trouble.

If the Warriors can take Game 4, they’ll be in full control of the series — and one big step closer to chasing another NBA championship.

Don’t miss it, because Playoff Steph is back — and he’s on a mission!
