Grimes slams Musk for parading son X, 4, in the Oval Office

Grimes didn’t hold back after learning that Elon Musk brought their son X AE A-XII into the Oval Office for a press conference with President Donald Trump. The Canadian singer blasted the move, saying he should not be in public like this and lamenting the overall lack of decorum in American politics.

Shocked by Son’s Appearance

A follower on X, the social media platform Musk renamed after their son, alerted Grimes to the high-profile moment, prompting her to express frustration.

“I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh,” she wrote.

She previously described Musk’s public display of their son as a personal tragedy of mine.

Calls for Mature Leadership

While avoiding direct attacks on Musk, Grimes took to X to criticize modern politics, arguing that both parties had abandoned diplomacy.

“The purpose of politics is to find solutions when the population can’t agree – but both sides have stoked hysteria rather than provide mature competent leadership,” she wrote.

She added that past administrations at least had a veneer of respect towards the people, which she believes is now gone.

Fear of Deportation

Grimes also hinted at personal fears, clarifying that her critiques were neutral general statements and avoiding direct criticism of Trump or Musk.

“I just don’t wanna be deported haha – like literally,” she admitted.

She later announced plans to publish an op-ed expanding on her views about government dysfunction and political chaos.

Ongoing Custody Battle

The drama comes amid Grimes’ ongoing custody fight with Musk over their three children. The singer has accused Musk of blocking her access to them and even preventing them from seeing their terminally ill grandmother. She previously begged Shivon Zilis, the mother of Musk’s other children, to help her reach him.

A Texas court recently settled their legal battle, though details remain undisclosed. Grimes has claimed the ordeal left her on the verge of bankruptcy and unable to work on new music.

Musk’s Growing Political Influence

Musk’s expanding role in Trump’s White House is fueling controversy. The tech mogul has positioned himself as a top adviser, helping push sweeping government reforms while rubbing shoulders with world leaders.

Grimes, once one of Musk’s closest allies, now finds herself watching from the sidelines while their son X takes center stage in Trump’s new administration.
