Sensational claims as files indicate two JFK shooters

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Trump ally and chair of a newly formed congressional task force, has made a shocking claim regarding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. As she spearheads efforts to declassify long-held government secrets, Luna asserted that she believes there were two shooters involved in the 1963 killing and promised to uncover more hidden details.

Task force to investigate JFK, Epstein, and more

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., announced the creation of the ‘Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets,’ alongside House Oversight Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., on Tuesday

The Florida congresswoman’s new task force will not only push for full transparency on the JFK assassination but also declassify files related to Jeffrey Epstein, the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy, UFOs, and other sensitive national topics.

“In previous investigations, they didn’t have access to the information that we are going to have access to,” Luna stated. “That’s a big deal, especially if you’re looking at what truly happened with JFK.”

Uncovering hidden government records

Luna’s committee plans to hold its first hearing in March, with a focus on JFK’s assassination. Witnesses may include individuals who were present in the hospital operating room when Kennedy was declared dead.

“We hope to bring those people in to testify,” she said. “And again, these hearings will be open to the public.”

The Republican-led task force is also targeting classified documents on 9/11, the origins of COVID-19, and U.S. government knowledge of extraterrestrial phenomena. Luna and House Oversight Chair James Comer have already sent formal requests to agencies, including the CIA, NSA, Pentagon, and State Department, demanding transparency.

Trump’s push for declassification

U.S. President Donald Trump holds a signed executive order in the Oval Office of the White House, in Washington, U.S., January 23, 2025.

The task force comes after President Donald Trump issued an executive order to release JFK files and documents related to MLK and RFK’s assassinations. Trump set a 15-day deadline for intelligence agencies to formulate a full declassification plan and an additional 45 days for the other assassination records.

Luna confirmed she will work directly with the White House to ensure the documents are made public, reinforcing Trump’s vow that “all will be revealed.”

Newly discovered FBI documents

Just this week, the FBI uncovered 2,400 new documents that could offer fresh insight into JFK’s assassination. These files may include records on George Joannides, a CIA covert operations chief in Miami at the time of the killing.

Joannides, who oversaw Cuban exile groups connected to Lee Harvey Oswald, has long been a subject of interest for investigators. Some experts believe elements within the CIA used these Cuban groups to promote propaganda following Kennedy’s assassination, possibly to justify a U.S. invasion of Cuba.

Despite previous orders to declassify all JFK-related files by 2017, thousands of pages remain redacted, fueling speculation about what remains hidden. The new task force aims to eliminate these redactions and finally release the full truth.

What happens next?

‘There’s people that have been publicly out there, for example, in the JFK stuff that were actually present in the room, at the operating room, where he was actually brought to right after the shooting,’ the Floridian explained at the Tuesday press conference. Above she is pictured with two rifles during a photo shoot she did before running for Congress

With its first hearing set for March, the task force is expected to bring in key witnesses, demand full declassification of existing documents, and pressure intelligence agencies for transparency. If successful, the investigation could reshape historical narratives about one of America’s most infamous assassinations.

As Luna put it: “We should be finding more information as we are able to.”
