Rodriguez Tied to Groups Funded by Millionaire Neville Singham

  • Elias Rodriguez, the suspected DC Jewish Museum shooter, has ties to radical left-wing groups that socialist millionaire Neville Singham funds. This connection shows how these groups, which wield significant influence, are linked to Rodriguez.
  • These groups, including PSL and ANSWER Coalition, promote anti-Israel protests and have ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
  • Singham and his wife support pro-China activism, funding networks that influence U.S. campuses and political movements.

Suspected Terrorist Elias Rodriguez Linked to Radical Socialist Groups

Elias Rodriguez, 31, allegedly killed two Israeli embassy workers outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington. Investigators have tied him to radical left-wing groups. After the attack, he reportedly shouted, “free, free Palestine!” He has connections to socialist organizations funded by millionaire Neville Singham and activist Jodie Evans.

Rodriguez’s Ties to the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL)

Rodriguez was linked to the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL). This communist group has run presidential candidates since 2008. Though the PSL denies current ties, Rodriguez had some association in the past. The group said he stopped contact in 2017 and condemned the attack.

Rodriguez’s Activism and Fundraising

In 2018, Rodriguez raised $240 on GoFundMe to join the March to Fight Poverty in Washington, DC. He also took part in protests around Chicago in 2017 and 2018 as a member of the ANSWER Coalition, another radical socialist group. The Anti-Defamation League reports these groups are linked to extreme left causes.

Radical Groups Connected Through Neville Singham’s Funding

Both PSL and the ANSWER Coalition are connected to the People’s Forum, a nonprofit based in Manhattan. The People’s Forum has ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and receives millions from Neville Singham. Singham, 71, is a socialist millionaire with strong pro-China views. He funds these groups largely through the Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund.

The People’s Forum’s Role in Anti-Israel Protests

All three groups—PSL, ANSWER, and People’s Forum—have been involved in anti-Israel protests. The People’s Forum has operatives at Columbia University, a hotspot for activism. This group works to promote radical left-wing ideas, often aligned with CCP interests.

Bronx Antiwar Coalition Praises Rodriguez’s Attack

The Bronx Antiwar Coalition, linked to Singham’s network, praised Rodriguez’s killings on social media. They called it the “highest expression of anti-Zionism.” This group was founded by Dee Knight, a socialist and pro-China activist who works closely with the People’s Forum.

Dee Knight and Jodie Evans Promote Pro-China Views

Dee Knight wrote a book titled “Befriending China: People to People Peacemaking,” praised by Jodie Evans. Evans is an activist married to Neville Singham. She promotes better U.S.-China relations and supports socialist causes. Evans co-authored a book with a Marxist think tank funded by her husband and the CCP.

Singham Family’s Deep Involvement in Radical Networks

Neville Singham’s son, Nate Singham, works at the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI). This New Jersey think tank studies CCP influence in the U.S. According to NCRI’s 2024 report, groups like the People’s Forum and ANSWER Coalition serve as channels for CCP-affiliated entities. They use pro-Palestinian activism to push anti-American, anti-democratic, and anti-capitalist agendas.

Funding Channels and Radical Left Groups

Donations to these radical groups often go through the Progress Unity Fund, a left-wing fiscal sponsor. Singham lives in Shanghai and is married to Jodie Evans, founder of Code Pink. Code Pink is a women’s anti-war group that has taken a pro-China stance in recent years.

Neville Singham’s Background and Socialist Beliefs

Born in Chicago, Singham is a socialist and Maoist. He used to be part of the League of Revolutionary Black Workers, a Maoist group. He sold his IT company ThoughtWorks for $785 million in 2017. Singham denies any direct ties to political parties or governments but admits to holding strong personal beliefs.

Rodriguez’s Anti-War Motivation

Rodriguez said he protested U.S. foreign wars because of his father, a National Guardsman sent to Iraq when Rodriguez was 11. He was angry when his father brought home an Iraqi flag taken from a dead soldier. Rodriguez wrote that he did not want another generation of Americans returning from what he called “genocidal imperialist wars” with war trophies.

The PSL stated Rodriguez’s connection was brief and ended in 2017. They rejected any link to the DC shooting and condemned the violence. They said they had no contact with him in more than seven years.

Claudia de la Cruz, a Bronx-born socialist, was the first president of People’s Forum in 2017. She also ran for U.S. president with PSL in 2024. De la Cruz raised nearly $400,000 during her campaign. She stepped down from People’s Forum in 2023.

Media Ties and Radical Group Affiliations

Ben Becker, a founding member of PSL, serves on the board of Breakthrough Media. This nonprofit is connected to the People’s Forum and shares its Midtown NYC address. De la Cruz is also a board member of Breakthrough Media.
