An ABC News reporter’s dream home was destroyed by Los Angeles wildfires just a day after moving in.
Zohreen Shah and her husband, Rishi, spent only one night in their new home before the Palisades Fire destroyed it. The couple had spent six years searching for the perfect coastal property.
The home, located near the Pacific Coast Highway, offered ocean views, wildlife sightings, and fruit trees. Shah called it “magical” and their forever home.
Shah saved for years to afford the down payment on the home. Despite the loss, she remains determined to rebuild and find answers about the tragedy.
The Palisades Fire has burned more than 23,700 acres and is only 18% contained as of Wednesday, leaving residents in continued danger.
