Frankie Beverly, acclaimed for his smooth and soulful voice and renowned anthems like “Before I Let Go,” has passed away at the age of 77. Frankie Beverly, known for hits such as “Joy and Pain,” “Love is the Key,” and “Southern Girl,” recently concluded his “I Wanna Thank You Tour” in Philadelphia, his hometown. Lifelong fans, including New Orleans resident Sedrick T. Thomas, mourned the loss of a great entertainer whose performances left indelible memories.

The world of R&B is left with a void following Frankie Beverly’s passing, yet his music and legacy will continue to have a lasting influence on generations to come.
