Ravens GM on Justin Tucker’s Allegations: ‘Worrisome’

In Indianapolis, the general manager of the Baltimore Ravens, Eric DeCosta, addressed the serious allegations concerning kicker Justin Tucker. The accusations related to inappropriate sexual behavior have been deemed both “serious” and “concerning” by DeCosta, who emphasized that the organization is awaiting the outcome of the NFL’s ongoing investigation before deciding on any potential action.

DeCosta made his initial public remarks regarding the situation during the NFL’s annual scouting combine held in Indianapolis. Reports from the Baltimore Banner have surfaced, detailing claims from 16 massage therapists from eight different spas and wellness centers in the Baltimore area, accusing Tucker of inappropriate conduct. To date, NFL officials have reportedly interviewed at least three of the women involved.

In response to the allegations, Tucker took to social media, emphatically denying the claims by labeling them as “unequivocally false.” DeCosta mentioned that he first learned of the accusations as a Baltimore media outlet prepared to publish them, which prompted him to meet with Tucker. However, he chose not to disclose any specifics from their conversation.

While the Ravens maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding such issues, DeCosta clarified that the team intends to wait for the NFL’s findings before making any determinations. Any decisions will be based on the specific details of the allegations against Tucker. Throughout his 13-year career, exclusively with the Ravens, Tucker has been regarded as one of the most dependable kickers in the league.
