Polish municipal leaders propose Elon Musk purchase their castle as a site for his European headquarters.

A town in Poland is extending an invitation to Elon Musk to consider purchasing its expansive castle that dates back to the 13th century, with the hope of establishing his European headquarters there.

Piotr Bujak, the mayor of Glogowek, shared on social media platform X that he has actively reached out to Musk’s companies to propose this potential purchase. So far, there has been no mention of a price for the castle, nor has Musk responded to this intriguing proposal.

Bujak mentioned that European media reports have hinted at Musk’s interest in finding a large venue, potentially a castle in Italy, to serve as a base for his operations across Europe. The Glogowek castle, positioned in southwestern Poland, has a storied past, having once served as the capital of Poland in the 17th century. This historic site has even welcomed renowned composer Ludwig van Beethoven, who created music within its walls.

“The castle has a very good vibe and is a perfect location for great things,” Bujak stated, emphasizing the potential of the site. Additionally, the region is known for its longstanding tradition of winemaking.

“We do not feel inferior to Tuscany. We have a remarkable climate, and this might just be the best place on Earth,” the mayor expressed, highlighting the area’s appealing attributes.

Geographically, Glogowek is conveniently located within travel distance from major European capitals like Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, and Warsaw. The area also has sufficient space for facilities such as a helicopter landing pad.

While the castle is in need of extensive renovations and calls for a private investor, it holds the promise of ample space suited for both living arrangements and business activities. Currently, it is owned by the town itself.
