Despite the ordeal, Portnoy managed to maintain his sense of humor, referring to himself as “Captain Dave” and sharing his adventurous tale with his followers.

In response, the Coast Guard sent a message for Portnoy’s pit bull, Miss Peaches, expressing their support and fondness for the beloved pet.
