“Only Murders in the Building” returns this week: Set for 10 thrilling weeks of success on Hulu

TV’s most star-studded show, “Only Murders in the Building,” is back for a fourth season, ready to top its previous star-studded success by adding even more celebrities! After a thrilling third season featuring Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd in prominent guest roles, the series returns with a new season that not only amplifies its star power—including the return of the legendary Streep—but also takes its storyline in a uniquely zany and meta direction. This season promises to be the show’s most distinctive yet, with a classic murder mystery at its core.

This time, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel face new challenges as their “Only Murders in the Building” podcast becomes so famous that it is being adapted, with Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, and Eva Longoria playing themselves as the podcasting trio. Amid this adaptation chaos, the team discovers that one of Charles’s oldest friends has been murdered—or so it seems.

As revealed at the end of Season 3, Sazz Pataki (played by Jane Lynch), Charles’s stunt double from his show “Brazzos,” was shot through the window by a sniper. While it’s unclear whether Sazz has been killed, her resemblance to Charles suggests that the intended target might have been Charles himself. This twist means our beloved trio could finally be in over their heads, dealing with too much snooping, newfound fame, and potentially pretentious actors—all while trying to crack another mystery.

Season 4 brings everything fans love about the series: humor, intrigue, and a self-referential sense of humor reminiscent of “This Is The End.” It’s shaping up to be a season filled with laughs and unexpected twists.
