INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever have announced that their standout player, Caitlin Clark, will not be taking the court against the Los Angeles Sparks this Thursday night.
Clark is dealing with a groin injury that has sidelined her. This absence will add to her struggle with injuries this season, as she was out for five games recently due to a quad injury. Upon her return on June 14, she made a significant impact, scoring an impressive 32 points to lead the team to a 102-88 victory over the Liberty.
Currently holding a 7-7 record, the Fever will feel the void left by Clark, who has been a key contributor this season. The star player is averaging 18.2 points, alongside 8.9 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game.
The last contest between the Fever and the Sparks took place in September 2024, where Indiana emerged victorious with a score of 93-86. In that game, Clark tied with Aliyah Boston for the highest score on the team, putting up 24 points and contributing 10 rebounds and 10 assists each.
