ARLINGTON, Texas — Arike Ogumbowale led the Dallas Wings with 21 points, while Paige Bueckers continued her streak of double-digit scoring games, reaching that mark for the 12th consecutive time, helping the Wings secure a 68-55 victory over the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday night.

Bueckers contributed 12 points, maintaining her trend of hitting double figures in every game she’s participated in this season. Aziaha James also played a crucial role, adding 11 points, and Li Yueru made a significant impact with 10 points alongside a career-high 15 rebounds for the Wings (4-12). This victory marks the Wings’ third win out of their last four games.

For the Atlanta Dream (10-5), Ryne Howard was a standout, scoring 23 points and surpassing the 2,000-point milestone in her career. Teammates Alisha Gray and Brionna Jones chipped in with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Dallas’s bench was a key factor in the win, outscoring Atlanta’s reserves 21-5. The Dream struggled with their long-range shooting, going 0 for 11 from behind the arc in the first quarter and 7 of 34 (21%) for the game, while shooting only 23% overall.

The Wings finished strong, closing the first quarter with an 11-0 run to take a 19-10 lead. The Dream managed to rally in the second quarter, whittling the deficit down to 31-29 with the help of three successful 3-pointers.

In the opening moments of the second half, Atlanta narrowed the gap to within a point at 31-30. However, a technical foul on Gray offered Dallas an opportunity to regroup, and the Wings responded with nine consecutive points, powered by a pivotal jumper from Bueckers, extending their lead to 40-30. By the end of the third quarter, Dallas had a 50-40 advantage.

The Dream could not close the gap to less than eight points throughout the fourth quarter, allowing Dallas to seal a well-earned victory.
