DUBLIN — In a recent match at Twickenham, forward Cameron Woki received clearance to continue playing after his red card in France XV’s victory over an England XV. Woki was ejected for an unauthorized tackle on Jamie George during the closing stages of the game last Saturday. Initially, a review from the bunker had escalated his yellow card to a red.

However, on Tuesday, the World Rugby disciplinary committee concluded that a red card should not have been given under the current head contact regulations, citing the absence of a high level of danger. Despite being down to 14 players, France managed to stage a comeback, narrowly securing a 26-24 win.
