Charlotte, N.C. — In an exhilarating display of skill, Charlotte FC’s Liel Abada and Patrick Agyemang each found the net in the early stages of the second half, propelling their team to a 2-0 triumph over FC Cincinnati. Goalkeeper Kristijan Kahlina was instrumental in preserving the victory, recording a personal best of eight saves during Saturday night’s matchup.

Just moments after the break, Abada demonstrated remarkable pace, outrunning Cincinnati’s defense to connect with a loose ball and precisely slotting it home from the edge of the penalty area. This impressive effort granted Charlotte FC (2-1-1) a 1-0 advantage in the 48th minute. Merely three minutes later, Agyemang made his mark through a swift counter-attack move. He adeptly timed his run on a perfectly weighted pass from Pep Biel, striking a shot from the left-center area that edged past the goalkeeper into the net, widening the lead to 2-0 in the 51st minute.

FC Cincinnati (2-2-0) faced an uphill battle after Gilberto Flores received a red card in the 83rd minute, following an earlier yellow in the 45th minute. The team also had to deal with an unexpected setback when their captain, Miles Robinson, was forced off due to an injury, prompting Teenage Hadebe to take his place in the 30th minute.

Despite the loss, Cincinnati’s goalkeeper, Roman Celentano, managed to make three saves during the match.
