This win has paved the way for Liberty to compete in the conference title game, marking their sixth appearance in the last eight years.
Kaden Metheny was instrumental in Liberty’s success, scoring 24 points and demonstrating exceptional accuracy by making 8 of 14 shots from the field, including an impressive 7 of 13 from beyond the arc. Colin Porter also made significant contributions by adding 15 points, shooting 6 of 9 from the field, with 1 of 3 from three-point range and 2 of 5 from the free-throw line. Porter also displayed his playmaking skills with five assists. Taelon Peter finished with 11 points, shooting 4 of 9 from the field and 2 of 4 from three-point range, despite going 1 for 3 at the free-throw line.
Kennesaw State, with a record of 19-14, saw Adrian Wooley lead their scoring with an impressive 28 points, alongside seven rebounds and five assists.
