The Chicago Bears have taken significant steps to strengthen their team by fortifying both their offensive line and defense ahead of the upcoming season. They have agreed to terms with center Drew Dalman, defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, and edge rusher Dayo Odeyingbo, as revealed by three individuals familiar with the transactions. These insiders shared the information on the condition of anonymity, as the official signing of contracts with new teams is scheduled to commence on Wednesday.

Drew Dalman has secured a three-year contract valued at $42 million, including $28 million in guaranteed money. Known for his reliability on the field, Dalman has been a starting center in 40 games over the course of four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. His addition to the Bears is expected to enhance the protection of Caleb Williams, the top pick from last year.

Grady Jarrett, a seasoned player with ten years of experience in Atlanta and two Pro Bowl selections, will bolster the Bears’ defensive line. He joins the team on a three-year deal worth $43.5 million, with $28.5 million guaranteed. Jarrett’s experience and skillset are anticipated to play a vital role in reinforcing the Bears’ defense.

Furthermore, the Bears have strengthened their pass rush by bringing in Dayo Odeyingbo, who comes from a solid stint with the Indianapolis Colts. With a contract valued at $48 million for three years and $32 million guaranteed, Odeyingbo brings a track record of impactful plays, including 16.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries over 61 games in four seasons.

Prior to these acquisitions, the Bears had already secured the services of two-time All-Pro left guard Joe Thuney and guard Jonah Jackson through trades, aiming to further solidify the offensive line tasked with protecting Caleb Williams.
