LAS VEGAS — On Saturday night, Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer known for his controversial online presence, was seen attending UFC 313 at the T-Mobile Arena. This appearance came just a day after he was noted at Dana White’s Power Slap 12 held at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
In recent developments, both Andrew and his brother, Tristan Tate, were given the green light to leave Romania towards the end of last month following the lifting of a travel ban. This ban had been in place due to serious charges brought against them, including allegations of human trafficking, which are linked to supposed activities within an organized crime group. Moreover, Andrew Tate faces an additional charge of rape.
Both brothers, who hold dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom, faced arrest back in late 2022 and were officially indicted the following year. After the restrictions were lifted, they made their way to Florida on February 27.
Further complications have arisen with the announcement from Florida’s attorney general on Tuesday of an ongoing criminal investigation targeting the Tate brothers. The investigation adds to the scrutiny they are currently under.
“We live in a democratic society where it’s innocent until proven guilty. And I think my brother and I are largely misunderstood,” Andrew Tate stated during an appearance in Florida on Thursday, persisting in denying any wrongdoing in the ongoing legal case.
Adding to the intrigue, UFC President and CEO Dana White was seen warmly interacting with Andrew and Tristan Tate on Friday. A video went viral capturing White welcoming them with a handshake and hug, notably saying: “Welcome to the States, boys.”
