Mount St. Mary’s Secures 62-52 Win Over Marist

    EMMITSBURG, Md. — In an impressive display, Dallas Hobbs contributed 17 points to guide Mount St. Mary’s to a triumphant 62-52 finish over Marist in the concluding game of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference regular season on Saturday.

    With a season record of 19-12 overall and 12-8 in the conference, the Mountaineers successfully secured the No. 6 seed for the upcoming conference tournament. This finish grants them a bye, postponing their play until Thursday’s quarterfinals where they will face the third-seeded Red Foxes—who stand at 20-9 overall and 13-7 in the conference—at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

    Hobbs showcased his skills by making 7 of 18 shots and was 3 for 9 from three-point range for the Mountaineers. Notably, Dola Adebayo contributed a very significant 16 points alongside 12 rebounds, while Javon Ervin added a solid nine points.

    The Red Foxes’ offense was spearheaded by Jackson Price with 13 points, supported by two steals and two blocks. Josh Pascarelli pitched in with 11 points and delivered four assists. Additionally, Elijah Lewis provided invaluable support by scoring eight points, grabbing seven rebounds, and executing three steals.
