STORRS, Conn. — The University of Connecticut Huskies secured a commanding victory over Seton Hall by a score of 81-50, concluding their Big East Conference regular season in triumphant form on Saturday. Solomon Ball led the charge for the Huskies, netting 17 points. He was notably effective with 5 of 11 shots from the field, including 3 of 8 from beyond the arc, and was perfect at the free-throw line, sinking all four attempts.
Contributing to UConn’s success, Alex Karaban delivered a double-double performance with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Samson Johnson was on target as well, shooting an impressive 6 of 7 from the field to collect 14 points, along with six rebounds and three blocks.
On the Seton Hall side, Prince Aligbe stood out with 15 points and two steals. Additionally, Garwey Dual offered a respectable 12 points and four assists. Isaiah Coleman chipped in with 10 points. Unfortunately, this defeat marked the sixth consecutive loss for the Pirates, who ended their season at the bottom of the conference standings.
As the team that has defended the national title twice, UConn heads into the conference tournament at Madison Square Garden in New York with the advantage of a first-round bye.
