    BUFFALO, N.Y. — In a decisive matchup on Sunday, Adam Njie spearheaded Iona’s commanding victory over Canisius with an impressive 26 points. Iona triumphed with a final score of 82-52.

    Njie was a pivotal force for the Gaels, contributing not only with points but also securing three key steals. This win boosted Iona’s record to 14-16 overall and 11-8 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Yaphet Moundi was another standout player for the Gaels, adding 15 points, shooting a sharp 7 of 10 from the floor, and gathering six rebounds. Moreover, Comeh Emuobor efficiently added 10 points, hitting 4 of his 7 attempts from the field.

    For the Golden Griffins, who are now standing at 3-26 overall and 3-15 in the conference, Tana Kopa was the lead scorer with 15 points and two steals. Gianni Thompson made significant contributions with 14 points alongside four blocks, while Paul McMillan IV also chipped in with 12 points.
