Christensen’s 16 points lead Hawaii to 78-70 win over UC Davis

    HONOLULU — Tanner Christensen delivered an impressive performance, scoring 16 points, to lead Hawaii to a victory over UC Davis with a final score of 78-70 on Saturday night.
    Christensen was instrumental for the Rainbow Warriors (15-14, 7-11 Big West Conference), also adding nine rebounds to his tally. Teammate Tom Beattie contributed 12 points and chipped in with six rebounds. Meanwhile, Akira Jacobs was effective, hitting 4 out of 6 shots from the field and maintaining a perfect 3 out of 3 from the free-throw line to secure 12 points.
    Ty Johnson was UC Davis’s standout player, finishing the game with 26 points and three steals for the Aggies (15-14, 9-9). Additionally, Pablo Tamba was a key contributor, amassing 19 points and nine rebounds. Carl Daughtery Jr. rounded out the scoring for the Aggies with 11 points and also swiped three steals.
    Looking ahead, both Hawaii and UC Davis are gearing up for their next challenges on Thursday. Hawaii is set to travel to Cal State Bakersfield, while UC Davis will host UC Irvine.
