HATTIESBURG, Miss. — On Friday, the Troy Trojans secured a 70-58 victory over Southern Miss, carving out a place for themselves at the top of the Sun Belt Conference alongside Arkansas State, South Alabama, and James Madison.
Myles Rigsby led the charge for the Trojans, racking up 25 points while also pulling down five rebounds. He was supported by Thomas Dowd, who added 11 points and impressive work on the boards with 12 rebounds. Tayton Conerway, although struggling with his shooting at 5 for 20 and just 1 for 6 from three-point range, contributed with 11 points, seven rebounds, and five steals.
For the Golden Eagles, who have now suffered eight consecutive losses, Denijay Harris stood out with 15 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks. Jett Montgomery chipped in with 13 points while Neftali Alvarez finished with 10 points.
