LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Tajianna Roberts delivered a standout performance, scoring 18 of her 19 points in the second half, while Olivia Cochran and Jayda Curry each notched double-doubles, propelling No. 25 Louisville to a commanding 78-52 victory over Clemson on Thursday night. This marks Louisville’s fifth win in their last six outings.

The Cardinals (20-8, 13-4 ACC) have maintained an impressive streak, securing at least 20 wins for the 15th consecutive season under the leadership of coach Jeff Walz. The team has demonstrated dominance over Clemson, achieving a perfect 13-0 record against them during Walz’s tenure.

Louisville is looking ahead to the conclusion of their regular season on Sunday, where they face a formidable opponent in No. 3 Notre Dame. Aiming for a top-four conference finish, the Cardinals are vying for a coveted double bye in the upcoming tournament.

In addition to Roberts’ explosive second half, Curry contributed significantly with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Cochran added 11 points and 10 boards, securing her second consecutive double-double. Noteworthy performances also came from Izela Arenas, who added 14 points, and Nyla Harris, who contributed 12.

Roberts ignited the beginning of the fourth quarter, scoring the opening six points and capping a decisive 11-0 run with a 3-pointer, extending Louisville’s lead to 66-46.

For Clemson (13-15, 6-11), Loyal McQueen was the top scorer with 16 points, accompanied by Mia Moore with 10. However, the Tigers struggled with their shooting, managing only 32% overall, including a paltry 3 of 15 from beyond the arc.

Clemson had closed the gap to 41-37 with 5:40 remaining in the third quarter, yet they managed just one more field goal for the remainder of the period, resulting in a 55-46 disadvantage heading into the fourth quarter.

Looking ahead, the Tigers will host Virginia Tech on Sunday.
