    In a commanding performance on Wednesday night, Arkansas State overcame Louisiana with a decisive 83-64 victory in Lafayette. Izaiyah Nelson was the star of the night, not only scoring an impressive 30 points but also dominating the boards with 21 rebounds for the Red Wolves, elevating their record to 21-9 overall and 12-5 in the Sun Belt Conference. Taryn Todd contributed significantly to the win as well, adding 12 points, shooting 2 of 5 from the field, and exhibiting near-perfect accuracy from the free-throw line with 7 of 8, while also grabbing five rebounds. Additionally, Dyondre Dominguez chipped in with 11 points, despite struggling from the three-point line, managing to make 3 of 10 from the field and converting 5 of 8 free throws.

    On the other side, the Ragin’ Cajuns had a notable performance from Mostapha El Moutaouakkil, who led his team with 15 points and two steals. Louisiana’s Kentrell Garnett also played a noteworthy game, contributing 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
