Lundblade’s 22 points lead Belmont over Missouri State

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — In an impressive display, Tyler Lundblade led Belmont to a 74-65 victory over Missouri State on Wednesday night, racking up 22 points.
    Lundblade’s performance was notable as he successfully made 8 of his 12 shots, including going 6 for 9 from the three-point line for the Bruins, who now stand at 20-10 overall and 12-7 in Missouri Valley Conference play.
    Sam Orme contributed significantly to the game, shooting efficiently with 5 of 7 from the field and 4 for 5 from the free throw line to score 15 points. Meanwhile, Jonathan Pierre added 13 points, hitting 5 of 12 from the field and 3 of 9 for three-pointers.
    Despite a valiant effort from the Bears, Dez White stood out with 20 points. Vincent Brady II also played a crucial role for Missouri State with 18 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Michael Osei-Bonsu recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
    Belmont took control of the game early, securing the lead with 13:34 left in the opening half and maintained it throughout. Orme was pivotal in the first half, scoring eight points and paving the way for a 34-24 halftime advantage. Lundblade added another 15 points in the second half to cement Belmont’s win.
    Both teams are set for matchups on Sunday, with Belmont preparing to host Murray State, while Missouri State will travel to face Drake.
