    BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. — Radford University emerged victorious over Gardner-Webb with a final score of 63-56 in a closely contested basketball match on Wednesday night. David Early was instrumental in driving Radford’s win, contributing 14 points. He made 4 out of 9 shots from the field, hit 2 of 5 from beyond the arc, and was flawless from the free-throw line with 4 out of 4 attempts, boosting the Highlanders’ record to 18-12 overall and 8-7 within the Big South Conference.

    Alongside Early’s performance, Ibu Yamakazi made a significant impact by scoring 13 points, completing six of his nine field goal attempts, including 1 of 3 from three-point territory, while also adding three key blocks. Josiah Harris also chipped in by scoring 11 points, hitting 4 out of 5 shots from the field, and making all his three free-throw attempts. Harris also contributed defensively with seven rebounds.

    On the Gardner-Webb side, Darryl Simmons II stood out with 14 points and managed to secure two steals. Anthony Selden was another key player, contributing 13 points and pulling down eight rebounds. Meanwhile, Isaiah Richards was solid with 11 points paired with seven rebounds.
