ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Kory Mincy led the charge with 21 points as Presbyterian College secured a 64-59 victory over UNC Asheville on Wednesday night.
Mincy demonstrated precision by shooting 5 for 11 from the field, including 2 of 7 from three-point range, and netted an impressive 9 of 11 free throws for the Blue Hose, who now hold a record of 13-17 overall and 6-9 in the Big South Conference.
Kobe Stewart also had a notable performance, tallying 13 points with a shooting record of 6 for 12, including 1 for 5 from beyond the arc, and contributing six rebounds.
Carl Parrish added to Presbyterian’s strength by scoring 10 points, shooting 3 for 5 overall and 2 for 4 from three-point territory.
On the opposite side, UNC Asheville’s Toyaz Solomon shone brightly with a commanding display of 21 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks, propelling the Bulldogs, who now stand at 20-9 overall and 11-4 in conference play.
In addition, Jordan Marsh contributed significantly by adding 21 points and securing five steals for UNC Asheville.
Looking ahead, both teams are preparing for their regular-season finale games on Saturday.
Presbyterian is set to host Gardner-Webb, while UNC Asheville journeys to Winthrop with the pursuit of securing second-place at stake.
