Alexander Scores 21, BU Tops Lehigh 79-68

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Kyrone Alexander delivered an impressive performance, scoring 21 points to help lead Boston University to a 79-68 victory over Lehigh on Wednesday night.

    In addition to his scoring, Alexander contributed significantly to the Terriers’ effort with 10 rebounds and four steals. His teammate, Miles Brewster, added 14 points along with six rebounds. Malcolm Chimezie contributed effectively from the field, making six out of eight attempts to conclude the game with 13 points.

    Lehigh’s offense was spearheaded by Tyler Whitney-Sidney, who scored a game-high 32 points. Supporting him was Nasir Whitlock, who added 24 points and two steals. Alfredo Addesa also played a key role for the Mountain Hawks, contributing six points and securing two blocks.

    The game saw Boston University seize control early, taking the lead just 29 seconds into the first half and maintaining their advantage throughout. Alexander was instrumental in establishing an early lead, scoring nine points before halftime, which saw the Terriers ahead 36-28. In the second half, Boston University maintained their edge by outscoring Lehigh by three points, with Alexander adding another 12 to his tally.

    Looking ahead, both teams are set to conclude their regular seasons on Saturday. Boston University will host Lafayette, while Lehigh is slated to visit Army. The conference tournament is slated to commence the following Tuesday.
