CHICAGO — Los Angeles Clippers standout Kawhi Leonard made his return to the court on Wednesday night, facing off against the Chicago Bulls after being sidelined for two games due to a sore left foot. His comeback was a significant boost for the Clippers, who were struggling with a three-game losing streak. Prior to the match, the Clippers held the sixth position in the Western Conference with a 31-26 record.

Leonard had been absent for three of the last four games, which included defeats on the road to Indiana on Sunday and Detroit on Monday. The seasoned player has two NBA championships under his belt and spent the initial nine weeks of the season recuperating from a right knee injury. Wednesday marked Leonard’s 17th game of the current season, and he entered the matchup with an average of 16.9 points per game, ranking third on the team following Norman Powell and James Harden.

Unfortunately for the Clippers, Powell was unavailable for the fourth consecutive game owing to a sore left knee. Meanwhile, on the opposing side, Chicago’s Nikola Vucevic also missed his second straight game due to tightness in his right calf.
