FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas has announced that defender Geovane Jesus will be absent for his second consecutive Major League Soccer season due to a persistent right knee injury.
The club confirmed on Wednesday that Jesus has been added to their season-ending injury list, ruling him out for the entirety of the 2025 campaign.
Jesus, who faced a tough rehabilitation process throughout 2024 due to a torn ACL in his right knee sustained during a training session on September 13, 2023, has encountered further setbacks. This week, he underwent another surgical procedure aimed at addressing cartilage damage in the same knee.
The 23-year-old Brazilian made a notable impact in his debut year with FC Dallas in 2023, starting in 11 out of the 19 matches he participated in. During that season, he contributed with two assists and attempted 11 shots.
