BALTIMORE – In a thrilling basketball match on Monday night, Toby Nnadozie shined with 25 points, leading Coppin State to a convincing 72-61 win against Howard.
Nnadozie also contributed with three key steals, helping the Eagles, who now stand at 5-21 overall and 3-8 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, secure their victory. Teammate Derrius Ward added to the team’s success with 17 points, hitting 6 of 17 shots, including 1 of 4 from the three-point line, and maintaining a perfect 4 of 4 from the free-throw stripe. Peter Oduro also made a notable impact, scoring eight points by converting 3 of his 4 field attempts and grabbing six rebounds.
On the opposing side, Blake Harper led Howard, ending the night with 19 points for the Bison, who now have a record of 12-16 overall and 7-4 in the conference. Contributions also came from Marcus Dockery, who tallied 12 points and made two blocks, while Cameron Shockley-Okeke added nine points along with three critical steals.
