In a thrilling matchup on Sunday, Saint Peter’s triumphed over Sacred Heart with a final score of 85-79.
Bryce Eaton was a standout performer for the Peacocks, leading the team with an impressive 27 points, shooting an efficient 8 out of 11 from the field, including 4 of 5 from beyond the arc.
Additionally, he was effective at the charity stripe, sinking 7 of 8 free throws.
Armoni Zeigler also contributed significantly, scoring 20 points on 8 of 15 shooting and making all 3 of his free throw attempts, while also grabbing 13 rebounds.
Tyreck Morris rounded out the scoring for Saint Peter’s, netting 16 points with a shooting line of 6 for 13 and an impressive perfect score of 4 for 4 from the free-throw line.
On the other side, the Pioneers were led by Griffin Barrouk, who scored 19 points.
Tanner Thomas added to Sacred Heart’s effort with 18 points, six rebounds, and two steals, while Amiri Stewart contributed a double-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to play again on Friday.
Saint Peter’s will travel to Quinnipiac, while Sacred Heart will take on Marist at home.
