VERONA, Italy — During a Serie A match on Sunday, Fiorentina forward Moise Kean suffered a head injury after collapsing on the field.
Kean had previously received treatment for a blow to the face just moments before his collapse, which occurred after he collided with players from Hellas Verona.
Despite his fall, the Italian player appeared to remain conscious and was later removed from the field on a stretcher, greeted by applause from the spectators in Verona.
He was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for further examination.

This incident marks the second occurrence of a Fiorentina player collapsing during this season. Earlier in December, teammate Edoardo Bove lost consciousness and was admitted to a medically induced coma before undergoing surgery to have a heart defibrillator implanted.

On a personal note, Kean has been enjoying a remarkable season, tallying 15 goals so far, marking his best performance to date.
The ongoing health concerns within the team have raised alarms about player safety, prompting discussions around medical protocols in sports.
