In Bradenton, Florida, the Pittsburgh Pirates have officially signed outfielder Tommy Pham to a one-year deal valued at $4,025,000, according to reports from Sunday.

To accommodate this roster move, right-handed pitcher Dauri Moreta has been placed on the 60-day injured list.

Pham, who will turn 37 in the upcoming month, had a varied season last year, playing for the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago White Sox, and Kansas City Royals. During that time, he achieved a batting average of .248, along with 20 doubles, nine home runs, and 39 runs batted in (RBIs).

Over the course of 11 seasons in Major League Baseball, Pham has maintained a career batting average of .258, accumulating 139 home runs, 470 RBIs, and 126 stolen bases. His journey has taken him through several teams, including St. Louis (2014-2018, 2024), Tampa Bay (2018-2019), San Diego (2020-2021), Cincinnati (2022), Boston (2022), the New York Mets (2023), and both the White Sox and Royals.

The addition of Pham provides the Pirates with another valuable outfield option, complementing existing players Bryan Reynolds and Oneil Cruz in their pursuit of improvement for the upcoming season.
