Richmond defeats Fordham with a score of 70-66

    RICHMOND, Va. — Dusan Neskovic played a pivotal role in Richmond’s 70-66 victory over Fordham on Saturday night, scoring 23 points.
    In addition to his scoring, Neskovic contributed seven rebounds for the Spiders, who improve to 9-17 overall and 4-9 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Mikkel Tyne was also instrumental in the win, adding 19 points along with five rebounds, while Mike Walz chipped in nine points.
    For the Rams, who now hold a record of 11-14 and 3-9 in conference play, Japhet Medor shone with 24 points, six rebounds, and two steals. Jackie Johnson III supported with 15 points and three steals, while Josh Rivera added another 13 points. The duo of Abdou Tsimbila and Romad Dean was effective on the boards, combining for 22 rebounds.
    In the game’s first half, Collin Tanner scored six points, helping Richmond secure a narrow lead at halftime, 27-26. Neskovic’s outstanding performance in the second half, where he netted 17 points, was crucial in maintaining the advantage and sealing the four-point victory for Richmond.
    Looking ahead, both Richmond and Fordham are set to play again on Wednesday. Richmond will travel to face La Salle, while Fordham will take on Duquesne on their home court.
