EASTON, Pa. — Bucknell’s Noah Williamson was instrumental in the team’s 75-69 victory over Lafayette on Saturday, contributing significantly with 24 points.
In addition to his scoring prowess, Williamson also secured eight rebounds for the Bison, who improved their season record to 13-14 overall and 9-5 in the Patriot League.
Brandon McCreesh also shone brightly, scoring 14 points with impressive shooting, hitting five out of six attempts, including two for three from long range. Achile Spadone rounded out the offensive efforts, finishing with nine points on four of seven shooting from the field.
On the opposing side, Alex Chaikin emerged as the top scorer for Lafayette, tallying 23 points.
His teammate Caleb Williams contributed 13 points along with four assists, while Justin Vander Baan added ten points and made his presence felt defensively with three blocks.
Williamson’s performance included a strong start, as he netted 12 points in the first half. Bucknell managed to maintain a narrow lead at halftime, finishing the period ahead 32-30.
In the closing moments of the game, Chaikin’s effort during the final stretch helped propel Bucknell to secure the six-point lead, sealing the victory.
