Quinnipiac defeats Sacred Heart with a score of 99-90

    FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Quinnipiac triumphed over Sacred Heart with a high-scoring contest, securing a 99-90 victory on Friday night.

    Amarri Monroe was a standout player for the Bobcats, contributing 24 points along with 19 rebounds and three steals, helping his team improve to a record of 15-10 overall and 11-3 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

    Jaden Zimmerman also made significant contributions, netting 24 points with impressive shooting stats of 8 for 13 from the field, including a remarkable 5 for 6 from beyond the arc, and converting 3 of 5 free throws.

    Paul Otieno delivered a solid performance as well, scoring 20 points while shooting 9 of 15 from the field, and adding 16 rebounds along with four blocks to his tally.

    On the other side, the Pioneers were led in scoring by Amiri Stewart, who finished the night with 20 points, complemented by seven assists and three steals.

    Tanner Thomas contributed 19 points and six rebounds for Sacred Heart, while Mekhi Conner rounded out the team’s strong showing with 17 points, four assists, four steals, and two blocks.

    This defeat marked an end to the Pioneers’ impressive five-game winning streak.

    Both teams are set to return to action on Sunday, with Quinnipiac preparing to host Iona, and Sacred Heart facing off against Siena.
