UTEP secures victory against Florida International with a score of 77-63

    EL PASO, Texas — In an exciting matchup on Thursday night, UTEP triumphed over Florida International with a score of 77-63, thanks in part to Kevin Kalu’s impressive performance, where he netted 14 points.
    Kalu demonstrated exceptional accuracy, making 6 out of 7 attempts from the field, along with 2 out of 5 from the free-throw line. His contributions were key for the Miners, who improved their record to 17-7 overall and 7-4 in Conference USA. Devon Barnes also made a significant impact, finishing the game with 13 points on 5 for 10 shooting, including 3 for 7 from three-point territory. Barnes complemented his scoring with six assists and three steals. Otis Frazier III added another layer to the team’s efforts, contributing 12 points, which included a 5 for 6 showing at the free-throw line along with 12 rebounds and five assists.

    For the Panthers, who now hold a record of 8-17 and 2-10 in the conference, Vianney Salatchoum was the standout player, scoring 12 points while also securing nine rebounds, making three steals, and recording four blocks.
