RUSTON, La. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday night, Louisiana Tech emerged victorious against Middle Tennessee with a final score of 75-69, thanks to a standout performance from Daniel Batcho, who delivered an impressive 25 points and secured 12 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
Alongside Batcho’s remarkable contribution, Kaden Cooper also played a significant role, scoring 16 points while demonstrating efficiency with his shooting—5 of 7 from the field, including 3 of 5 from beyond the arc, in addition to grabbing 13 rebounds. Sean Newman Jr. rounded out the scoring with 13 points, converting 9 out of 9 from the free-throw line and making 2 of 4 field goal attempts.
On the other hand, the Blue Raiders were led by Camryn Weston, who netted 16 points, along with four assists and two steals. Jestin Porter added to the team’s effort with 15 points, while Jlynn Counter contributed 13 points and dished out five assists.
In the first half, Batcho managed to put up seven points, yet Louisiana Tech entered halftime trailing 30-27. Batcho’s determination showed late in the game as he scored the last six points for his team, helping secure the six-point win.
Looking ahead, Louisiana Tech is set to host Sam Houston next Saturday, while Middle Tennessee will be facing New Mexico State at home on Thursday.
