NEW YORK — The nominations for the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards have been announced, with Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen in the lead, each securing ten nominations. Close behind are Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, and Post Malone, who have each received nine nominations.
The iHeartRadio Music Awards recognize the most played artists on their stations and app over the past year. This year’s event will also reflect on the devastation caused by recent wildfires in Los Angeles and will aim to raise funds for FireAidLA.org.
FireAid is a notable benefit concert featuring performances by renowned artists including Billie Eilish, Stevie Wonder, Green Day, and Joni Mitchell, all working together for wildfire relief. Proceeds from ticket sales and donations to FireAidLA.org will be allocated for immediate assistance and future initiatives to mitigate fire risks, with support from the Annenberg Foundation, according to an official announcement.
John Sykes, the president of entertainment enterprises, alongside Tom Poleman, the chief programming officer, emphasized that the iHeartRadio Music Awards is not a competition but a celebration of the talented artists and songs that captured the audiences’ hearts throughout the year. They noted that this year’s show will also highlight the significant tragedy that affected the Los Angeles community, reinforcing their dedication to serve those in need.
During the ceremony, Lady Gaga will be honored with the innovator award for her substantial impact on both the music industry and global culture. Mariah Carey, celebrated for her extraordinary career, will receive the icon award.
In addition to her impressive nominations, Swift’s acclaimed Eras Tour will be recognized with a new honor titled “tour of the century.”
Fans are invited to participate in voting across various categories such as best lyrics, best music video, favorite tour style, and more. Voting commenced today at iHeartRadio.com/awards and will remain open until March 10 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
In the race for song of the year, nominees include Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso,” as well as contributions from Wallen, Post Malone, Doja Cat, Benson Boone, Tate McRae, Teddy Swims, Jack Harlow, and Hozier.
