CHICAGO — Neal Jamiya contributed significantly to Creighton’s victory over DePaul, finishing the game with 14 points in a decisive 73-49 win on Tuesday night.

Jamiya’s performance also included seven rebounds and three steals, helping the Bluejays improve their record to 13-6 overall and 6-2 in the Big East Conference. Ryan Kalkbrenner supported the team with a solid outing, scoring 13 points while shooting 3 of 5 from the field and converting 7 of 8 free-throw attempts, alongside grabbing eight rebounds and blocking four shots. Jackson McAndrew tallied nine points on 4 of 7 shooting, including one three-pointer, in addition to collecting six rebounds.

DePaul, now sitting at 10-10 and 1-8 in the conference, had Layden Blocker as their leading scorer with 15 points and three steals. CJ Gunn also contributed to the scoring with 11 points, and Isaiah Rivera added eight points along with two steals.

Creighton established control early in the contest, taking the lead just 17 seconds into the game and maintaining it throughout. Jamiya was particularly impactful in the first half, scoring 12 points and helping the Bluejays build a 31-19 advantage by halftime. The second half saw Creighton further extend its lead, reaching a 45-23 margin powered by a 10-2 scoring burst. Kalkbrenner notably led the team in scoring during this half with 10 points.
