The Phoenix Suns have made a significant move by obtaining three future first-round draft picks from the Utah Jazz in exchange for one of their own first-round selections, as announced on Tuesday.

As a result of this trade, the Suns now possess first-round picks in 2025, 2027, and 2029, which will be the least favorable picks between teams such as Cleveland and Minnesota for 2025, and among Cleveland, Utah, and Minnesota for both 2027 and 2029.

Conversely, the Jazz will receive an unprotected first-round pick from the Suns, scheduled for 2031.

Currently, the Suns face challenges this season, holding a record of 21-21, a performance that falls short of expectations given the star power in their lineup, which includes Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal.

Looking ahead, Phoenix may consider leveraging these three valuable picks to strengthen their roster as the trade deadline approaches. The franchise has been reportedly interested in acquiring Miami Heat’s star, Jimmy Butler, who recently returned to action following a seven-game suspension due to “conduct detrimental to the team.”
