BUIES CREEK, N.C. — In an impressive performance on Saturday, Caleb Zurliene came off the bench to score 21 points, leading the Campbell Fighting Camels to an 81-58 victory over the Monmouth Hawks.

Zurliene showcased his shooting skills by hitting 7 of 10 attempts from the field, including 2 of 4 from beyond the arc, and he was perfect at the free-throw line, making all 5 of his attempts. This win improved Campbell’s record to 8-11 overall and 3-3 in the Coastal Athletic Association. Alongside Zurliene, Jasin Sinani contributed 14 points while Colby Duggan added 11 points to the total.

On the other side, Monmouth, which now holds a record of 5-14 and also stands at 3-3 in the conference, was led by Madison Durr, who scored 18 points. Abdi Bashir Jr. also played well, chipping in with 14 points. Cornelius Robinson Jr. rounded out the Hawks’ efforts with seven points and six rebounds.

The game saw Campbell take the lead with a 10-0 run, pushing ahead 23-22 during the first half. Zurliene was pivotal in this stretch, scoring 11 points before halftime, which ended with both teams tied at 27. In the second half, a crucial 9-0 surge flipped Campbell’s fortunes from a one-point deficit to an eight-point advantage. Sinani was instrumental during this period, scoring 12 points to secure the team’s victory.
