ISTANBUL — Ole Gunnar Solskjær has been appointed as the new head coach of Be?ikta?, marking his return to management after more than three years since his dismissal from Manchester United.

The Turkish club announced that Solskjær has signed an 18-month contract, which will see him remain with Be?ikta? until the end of the next season, with the possibility of extending his tenure for an additional year.

In their official statement, Be?ikta? expressed confidence in Solskjær’s ability to make a significant impact and welcomed him warmly into the organization, wishing him success in his new role.

At present, Be?ikta? is competing in a match against third-placed Samsunspor, sitting in sixth place in the Turkish league standings. The team has been without a head coach since they parted ways with Giovanni van Bronckhorst, following his dismissal in late November.

Solskjær has not led a team since his exit from Manchester United in 2021. Throughout his illustrious playing career, he secured six Premier League titles with United and is best known for his unforgettable late goal during the 1999 Champions League final.

The 51-year-old has also briefly managed Cardiff City in 2014 and has had two stints with the Norwegian club Molde throughout his managerial career.
