PARIS — Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is expected to undergo a medical examination with Paris Saint-Germain on Friday as he prepares for a transfer to the prominent French football club, which boasts a record 12 championships.

Reports from various French outlets, including L’Equipe and RMC, indicate that the 23-year-old forward from Georgia intends to finalize a contractual agreement once he completes the medical evaluation.

On Thursday, Kvaratskhelia shared a heartfelt farewell video directed at Napoli supporters, who affectionately nicknamed him “Kvaradona,” paying tribute to the legendary Diego Maradona, widely regarded as the club’s greatest player.

Kvaratskhelia played a significant role in Napoli’s triumph as they claimed the Serie A title in 2023, showcasing his talent on the national stage.

Napoli’s coach, Antonio Conte, confirmed last Saturday that Kvaratskhelia expressed a desire to leave the club.

With Kylian Mbappe transferring to Real Madrid during the offseason, PSG is keen on bolstering its attack by adding an explosive talent like Kvaratskhelia. His ability to score and assist, combined with his impressive speed and dribbling skills, makes him a valuable addition.
