BROOKINGS, S.D. – In an impressive display of skill, Joe Sayler led the South Dakota State Jackrabbits to a commanding 109-73 victory over the North Dakota Fightin’ Hawks on Thursday evening.
Sayler delivered a standout performance, scoring 25 points with an efficient shooting effort of 10 for 13 from the field, including 4 for 7 from three-point range. The victory brought South Dakota State’s record to 11-8 overall and 2-2 within the Summit League. Isaac Lindsey contributed significantly with 13 points and three steals, while teammates Oscar Cluff and Kaley Garry each added 12 points to the tally.
On the opposing side, North Dakota struggled to keep pace, with Amar Kuljuhovic leading the team in scoring at 14 points. Treysen Eaglestaff supported the effort with 12 points and four assists, while Mier Panoam rounded out the scoring with 10 points and six rebounds. The Fightin’ Hawks now hold a record of 7-13 overall and 1-4 in league play.
Looking ahead, both teams will be back in action on Saturday. South Dakota State will host Oral Roberts, while North Dakota is set to face UMKC at home.
