CORTINA D’AMPEZZO, Italy — During a World Cup downhill training session on Thursday, Lindsey Vonn experienced a fall towards the end of her run and appeared to sustain some minor injuries.

Despite the tumble, Vonn promptly got back on her feet and made her way to the finish area located on the Olympia delle Tofane course. Shortly thereafter, she sought treatment inside a medical tent. Fortunately, her team confirmed that she did not suffer any fractures.

At 40 years old, Vonn has recently made a comeback to ski racing after taking nearly six years off, during which she underwent a titanium knee replacement.

Just last Sunday, Vonn achieved a commendable fourth-place finish in the super-G held in St. Anton, Austria.

A record-holder with 12 victories in Cortina, Vonn is looking forward to competing in the location, which is set to host the Milan-Cortina Olympics next year.

Another training session is planned for Friday, leading up to the downhill and super-G races scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

In the recent training session, Italian skiers Federica Brignone, Sofia Goggia, and Nadia Delago showcased their skills by finishing in the top three positions.
