In a thrilling match on Wednesday night, Chattanooga emerged victorious against Wofford with an 83-81 score in overtime, thanks to an outstanding performance by Bash Wieland, who contributed 20 points.
Wieland also secured five rebounds for the Mocs, who now hold a record of 11-7 overall and 3-2 in the Southern Conference. Among other notable players, Trey Bonham scored 15 points, achieving an efficient shooting display of 5 for 9, including 3 for 5 from three-point range, and also provided six assists. Honor Huff joined the scoring efforts with 15 points as well, shooting 5 of 11 overall and hitting four of his nine long-range attempts.
On the opposing side, the Terriers were led by Justin Bailey, who tallied a remarkable 22 points. Dillon Bailey was also a key contributor for Wofford, adding 21 points to the scoreboard. Kyler Filewich rounded out the notable performances with his stat line of 12 points, six rebounds, and three steals, helping keep the match competitive throughout.
Both teams are set to compete again on Saturday, with Chattanooga traveling to Furman, while Wofford will host Mercer in their upcoming game.
